Rio de janeiro in photos

Our stay in Rio de janeiro started with the sugar loaf. We took the underground then the bus to stop at Urca area for a walk. We went round the base of the sugar loaf, via the peaceful Botafogo bay and Urca beach.
Then we took the cable car to sugar loaf from where the view is stunning. This is when you realize the breathtaking beauty of Rio de janeiro!

Our hotel was located on Copacabana which enabled us to really enjoy long walks along Ipanema and Copacabana beaches.

Rio de janeiro it's also the mythical Corcovado where the Christ the redeemer stands. After an exciting train ride through Tijuca national park and a few steps (or elevator), you finally reach the imposing statue. The view is magical, even on a hazy day.

We finally visited Rio de janeiro historical city center, hanging around, stopping by here and there, walking through animated market places..
