After a kayak expedition in the bay we set foot on Half moon island beach where an important colony of Gentoo penguins seemed to have excpected us. We walked along the shore trying not to disturb the penguins while observing nature.
That's where we noticed two southern elephant seal resting on a beach, yawning from time to time. On this close up photo of elephant seal we clearly can see the canine teeth.
