Mexican crafts

Mexico is a country where crafts still has a paramount place. Along the roads, in the streets or markets, you can by several objects but also watch artisans while they work.

In Oaxaca, the speciallity is little colourful wooden animals.

In Tlacolula market we liked these colourful masks representing the sun and the moon.

And in Oaxaca markets were full of hand made bags, baskets and so on.

Mexican markets

Market are always very colourful and living. People really take care of their stands to draw anyone's attention.
We especially liked the way fruits were put into relief... but they are not all good to eat! The following fruits are papier-maché.

We also discovered local products like spices and chapulines (grilled grasshopper).
