Felouca sailing from village to village

Village on the left bank of the Nile. Feloucas are a common way of transportation between villages, either for goods or people. What amazed me while on the cruise is that the land is green and fertile only for a few meters on the Nile banks. As soos as the river doesn't provide water, the land is as dry as a desert.
This is why the villages are along the Nile, very close to the river.
