Tramway at the turn table

Photo of the old San Francisco tramway at the turn table, that is to say at the end of the line. The driver has to get off the tramway and uses the turn table to put it in the right direction. I personnaly wonder if people living in San francisco really use this tramway or if it is only a tourist attraction.
