Chinstrap penguin attitude

Chinstrap penguin in Antarctica
31/44

After spending a few minutes watching chinstrap penguins of a colony located near Errera channel mountain range in Antarctica, I noticed that they often take this characteristic position: their beak pointed towards the sky, their wings stretched backwards while crying loud. As I'm not a scientist I have no idea about the signification of such an attitude love parade? intimidation? who knows?
