San Marco basilica in the background

I immediately spotted this frame, under an arch in San Marco's square with the basilica in the background, but I wanted movement so I had to wait a few minutes before these two people arrived in my frame. Venice is a city of contrast and color. I wanted to take the opposite view by offering this gallery of black and white photos, while keeping, in this photo at least the contrasting aspect.
This is why the foreground is dark, allowing the Saint Mark's Square and the Basilica stand out in the background.
