Photo of a Namib desert landscape
Nara resting on the orange sand of the desert
Ripples of sand under the effect of the wind in the Namib desert. The effect is accentuated by the disproportionate shade due to the very low rays of the sun at the end of the Namibian afternoon.
In the foreground, a nara, a kind of thorny melon which is of essential value for wild animals (especially the oryx) due to its water content... element so scarce in the desert!
