But what does it mean to be a monk in Cambodia? Each man beyond 20 years old can become a monk fot the duration of its choice. Monks retire in places called wat where they learn spirituality. Monks take vow of poverty, chastity and must comply with the ten Commandments of Buddhism. Further more, every day they go and beg their food in the streets which makes them dependant of citizens who luckily worship them.
