Palm springs is probably so called because in this city there are many palm trees, along the roads, in the parks and gardens. Palm springs is like an oasis in the desert. When you drive to palm springs, you cross desert landscapes, and all of a sudden you reach a city with lush vegetation, palm trees and english lawns. Surprising!
