The Orange spined tang is easily identifiable thanks to the two orange spines at the base of its tail. The male differ from the female by the two caudal strands we can clearly spot on this picture. The Orange spined tang lives in shelterd coral reefs and mainly feeds on brown alguae.

The Orange spined tang from the Pacific differ from its Indian ocean cousin by its orange dorsal spine (yellow for its cousin).
