Picture of an ancient lava flow in volcanoes national park of Big island. On each side of the 20 miles long crater road, several ancient lava flows can be observed. The landscapes are totally transformed. Here and there the vegetation is shily trying to conquer a territory but the power of the lava is such that it might take millions of years before the landscape looks like it used to be.
