Mokuaeae island is a small 3 acres island located 100m north of Kilauea point on Kaua'i northern coast. I took this picture from Kilauea lighthouse observatory. The island is protected and all access are prohibited in order to preserve its unique floral and animalheritage, it is a sanctuary to many birds.
