Ocean filled with ice cubes and mountain reflection

While the icebreaker enters Lemaire channel the sunrays shed a beautiful light on this enchanting scenery. The vessel is surounded by high summits covered in snow and glacier which reflects in the flat Antarctic waters where thousands of mini icebergs float. Lemaire channel is situated between Antarctica peninsula and Booth island. It is 11km long and less than 1600m wide at its narrowest point. It is named after Belgium explorer Charles Lemaire.
