Photos of the first glimpse of Antarctica while the icebreaker enters Lemaire channel, all passengers remain on the bridges to enjoy the view of these high snow covered mountains overhanging the freezing ocean packed with icebergs We were all thrilled to discover Antarctica with blue sky and warming sun shedding a beautiful light on the surrounding glaciers, ice fields and icebergs drifting in Lemaire channel.
This first encounter with Antarctica will remain one of the highlights of the expedition.
