Photo safari - observation of African wild animals

Zimbabwe has a very rich wildlife, especially around the Zambezi River, upstream from Victoria Falls where it is not uncommon to see elephants, hippos and crocodiles. But animals also live in nature reserves such as the Victoria Falls reserve.

Following trips to Namibia, Botswana and South Africa, I was used to meeting wildlife in the national parks and thus knew that I would have plenty of time to observe the animals of Zimbabwe in the Victoria Falls reserve.

An hotel amid wildlife

But what was my surprise to find myself face to face with 4 warthogs when I woke up after the first night at the A'zambezi hotel on a bank of the Zambezi, upstream from Victoria Falls. By the time I came to my senses, I was heading to the terrace where breakfast was served. Once seated I spotted 2 blue vervet monkeys above me in the trees.

The environment of this hotel is absolutely incredible and it is finally while walking in the surroundings that I crossed paths. the most wild animals, especially in the water of the Zambezi like this yawning hippopotamus or anhinga.
