Burano in black & white, winner of the month March 2003

Context : during my short stay in Venice, I also visited the islands of Murano and Burano. The latter is known for its colorful homes. I decided to take the opposite view by taking this black and white photo of the port where the boats are moored in a sea of oil. I find that it gives a peaceful side to the composition.
