Costumes and atmosphere on the banks of the Seine

Paris venetian carnival takes place every year on the quays and gardens of the port de plaisance Paris bastille (Arsenal port).
This colourful event is the opportunity to parade among the crowd but also on boats sailing along Seine river.
It is also the occasion for members of Paris carnival association to expose their most beautiful masks and costumes while posing for photographers. It really gives the impression to be in Venice!

As I lived in Paris back then I enjoyed spending the afternoon hanging around at port de l'Arsenal, especially during a sunny and warm day, watching the theatrical poses of the carnaval people.
Paris venetian carnival is not to be missed! It is one of the most living and colourful events in the french capital.
