Cities of MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE

Cities photos of these two contrasted countries, from the luxuous buildings of Singapore to the precarious houses of Melaka...

Our stay started in Singapore. We spent three days in this country, which seems to be enough to have a look at the main interests.

The city of Singapore looks like an European one : buildings, shopping centers, high density of population... Nevertheless two differences are to be noticed, in favor of Singapore : Cleanness and inhabitants discipline. The underground and the streets are incredibly clean...I think it'a a city where anybody would like to live in.

We left Singapore bound for Malaysia : Melaka first then Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia contrasts with Singapore.
As a matter of fact, except Kuala Lumpur, the country is not much urbanized. The eastern coast is pretty wild but beautiful : There, most of villages are fisherman's ones with wooden dwellings. It's where we admired the most beautiful landscapes.

Close to Kuala Lumpur, we met natives, the Orang Asli, who live in huts.

Marang is probably the most colorful fisherman's village of the Eastern coast.

The Western coast is less interesting as far as tourism is concerned, we only visited Penang island where we found beautiful architecture.
