Costa rica has got the richest and more diversified flora of latin America. From jungle to mangrove, from rainforest to dryforest, from volcanos to beaches (caribbean or pacific coasts), Costa rica is a shelter for some 10000 species of plants.
Volcanic landscapes is a must seen in Costa rica to witness the rapid change during the climb: you can quickly go from a lush forest to a bare mountain in only a few kilometers (Arenal or Irazu).

This biodiversity, in addition of being a formidable shelter for the fauna, offers the tourists a spectacular variety of sceneries with no need to drive long distances.

It's funny to pass from a marine landscape to a volcanic scenery in less than two hours, or from a dense forest to a beach.
