Whale fin
While kayaking in Antarctica and watching humpback whales what amazed me the most was the silence. I could hear the whales breath. I'm not talking about the
defeaning air blow but the normal breath which echoes in the bay.
I never thought that such a big animal was so silent while surfacing and moving such an amount of water. Even as they go for a deep dive lifting their caudal fin, the silence remains while the whale disappear into the freezing water. Amazing!
