First stop of my antarctic expedition, Petermann island reveals under an incredible weather: deep blue sky and cool temperature. Sunrays shed a beautiful light on the surrounding hills which snow glitters like diamonds. Professor Multanovskiy, our russian icebreaker, is anchored in the bay while we explore the island walking in the thick snow towards Adelie and Gentoo penguins.
Many penguins colony are settling on this island living in perfect harmony and fighting all together against their flying predator the skua
