Gentoo penguin

When I first set foot in Antarctica, on Petermann island, Gentoo penguins came to say hello. My first surprise was to see penguins are not frightened. This unexpected behavior offers good opportunities of observation as long as one doesn't become intrusive.
It was the occasion to see how Gentoo penguins built their nests, how they dive into the ocean, how they jump from the ocean to the land (quite impressive!).
