Shooting videos in Antarctica

Shooting a video in Antarctica is not always as easy as it can be in standard conditions. Cold weather freezes your fingers compelling to wear gloves thus making it difficult to reach for the right switch.
Also if you want to shoot a video while kayaking and don't want to miss anything your video camera has to be ready at anytime. Which means that you can't always store it in the waterproof bag. I often chose to put it on my kayak sprayskirt regardless of the risks.
My video camera is still working properly but I can't say the same of my three batteries which suffered from cold temperatures and salt water!
Anyway, this was a risk to take and I don't regret it as I like very much the videos i shot in Antarctica.
